Spring break is a foot!!! A size 10 ½ foot.

So I woke up today and it was one of those days where it takes me no time at all to be in my right mind and thinking clearly. (Most days I bumble around incoherently in my underwear with my hair sticking straight up for about 45 min.) Well, I say to myself Steve, (I call myself Steve every third Thursday in March) for some reason right now I want to run through the American Gladiator arena where they fire the tennis balls at you.

Hold that thought…no Frank that thought. You know, I haven’t grilled in awhile. Grilling is a must for spring break!!! I don’t watch tv anymore and I really don’t watch movies either. I don’t know..i guess it really just lost its appeal to me. TV used to be my crack when I was younger. What reference do you want? An “Action Team Now” from KABLAM reference? How about a “Repair man man man man” from All That reference. I’ve got tons. I still like movies and would really love to watch some my old favorites again. Sigh….maybe one day.

Philippians 4:6-7. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I think that most of us would admit that worrying is a part of our lives, and that it occupies our thinking for a great part of our time. Our problems cause us to worry all of the time. The Bible says that worry is a sin. Now, while it might not seem like worrying is a big deal, it is. Because worry is the equivalent of saying, “God I know you mean well by what you say, but im just not sure you can pull it off.” Worrying is the sin of distrusting God.

Paul says bring everything to God. Why should we bring everything to God.
1. Because God knows everything
2. Because He can do something about anything.

Once you bring everything to God, will all of your problems be solved? That’s not what it says.

Even before our prayers are answered, there is peace. Before we have any idea of how things will work out, there is peace. Why? Because by our crying out to God and unloading our cares and burdens on Him, He is assured of (and we are reminded of) our dependence on Him. And that is his priority and that is what pleases him.

If we would focus on God and who he is and what he has already done for us, and give him praise, He would get bigger and our problems would get smaller and we could be free from worry. So that’s my thought for the day.

Painfully bad Laffy Taffy joke of the day goes to…....
Q: What is a Dutch kangaroo's favorite game?
A: Hopscotch.
:( ??? Yep. I don’t know. Thank goodness for the banana flavor that’s all I have to say.
